PMVA Training
The PMVA Training course covers conflict management, breakaway and control and restraint all delivered together in a Prevention and Management of Violence And Aggression (PMVA) Course. Training is often a mandatory requirement for healthcare staff that work in a violent/ aggressive setting or those that are frontline workers.
For those who are interested in attending this particular training, it can be designed in order to best fit in with your need, delivering each section on a level that is best suited to your workers.
Course Topics
-
Available as a 1, 2 or 3-4 Day Course
-
Last Resort Techniques
For your assurance all courses are delivered by The National Federation for Personal Safety (NFPS) members.
Some of the aspects covered within the PMVA training includes:
- Communication
- Non-aggressive conflict management
- Hands on approaches to conflict management
- Control & restraint techniques
- Everything that your staff will need to diffuse and mange a potentially dangerous situation.
The Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression (PMVA) and Management of Violence & Aggression (MOVA) Training course has been designed and developed to meet the needs and expectations of customers whose employees regularly deal with violence or aggression during the course of their work and, who need to employ all the skills from conflict management to breakaway and/or physical restraint. The course is delivered over 3 days and is useful for restraint training for care workers and builds on a frame work of knowledge underpinned by current Law, Regulations and Guidance.
Both our PMVA Training courses, have an optional extra day for those delegates who are working within a high risk environment where more emphasis will be placed on the breakaway and restraint part of the training giving those attending far more practice time.
A requirement of all PMVA candidates is a reasonable level of fitness and general health in order to participate in the physical elements of the course and all candidates will need to complete a fitness questionnaire in order to ascertain this.
